SNOW!

I am so behind! Before spring is officially here, I thought I would post a few snow pictures.

 

We have had quite the winter! It has snowed more often than normal, and it has been very deep!

 

On this particular day, Ava wanted to go outside and play as soon as she woke up. I stayed behind and took pictures from the window (note the screen). I was really worried she would get stuck and start crying. I'd have to go get her in my slippers and pajamas. She was wary at first because of the depth and walked along the house and bushes so she could hold onto something.

 

Then she got brave. Luckily, she didn't get stuck and I didn't have to embarrass myself in front of my neighbors. :)

 

I have to give Justin some credit. He shoveled for 4 HOURS and that was with the help of the neighbor's snow blower! It was a lot of snow.

 

 All bundled up and ready to go outside! I love Tyler's "cheese" face. Thanks to Ava's friend who gave us these snow pants a week before the storm!

 

We got a fence and deck put in the back! Yay! Finally! More pictures to come of that. The kids enjoyed playing on the deck in the afternoon.

 

 Tyler kept flinging snow directly into his face.

 But he thought it was fun. :)

 

On a warmer day, when the snow was almost all gone, the kids enjoyed playing with the snow I scooped up for them.

 

Recently Tyler has been doing this forced laugh. I love it.

 

This is how they thaw out. Thanks to Grandma Hawes for making these hot pads. We stick them in the microwave and they get toasty! Warmed the kids right up.
