Artwork?

Ava has become quite the artist.
Notice the head, two eyes, body and legs.
It's quite nice until you realize that the red "paper" is not paper but our CAR!!
I told her we would no longer go to the park but go home to clean the car. These are a few lines she rambled while trying to apologize.
"I will say 'I'm sorry!' lots of times and then I can go to the park." She then repeated, "I'm sorry" like a broken record about 25 times.
"I was just making the car pretty!"
"I will lick it with my tongue and then it will come off."
"Daddy will take me to the park."

The Cherry on Top:
While writing this post, Tyler walked out into the living room after we put him to bed in his crib.
Ava is asleep. He was unassisted.

What talented children we have. :)

Goat?

Exhibit A:
Scratches that resemble bite marks on my newly painted chair.

Exhibit B:
Our brand new leather chair with a bite-size piece of leather missing.

Exhibit C:
My son who loves to chew on things that he's not supposed to.

The Verdict:
Either there is a mysterious goat living in our house...
Or Tyler is teething on our nice furniture!!

Good thing we love this kid!
Yes, he climbed onto that shelf all my himself.

I never posted about how I refinished my table. In June, I stripped, sanded, stained, painted and sealed our table and chairs.

Before:

It was a grueling process. As a novice, I sanded and stained my table 3 TIMES before the stain took properly. I was on the brink of giving up after try #2. However, I had 7 amazing friends who helped me by watching my kids and some who put in their own sweat and tears on the project. Thank you to my wonderful friends who made this possible!

After:

Yesterday, Ava took a fingernail file and sanded the inside of one of the table legs down to the wood. The mark is about 3 inches long.

Good thing I love my kids.

Last one

This is the last post from our summer vacation.

Playing in Great Grandma Graff's backyard.
This picture reminds me of everything I love about summer. Bright, warm, and sunny summer days!
Oh yes, and I LOVE these kids!

Another BC activity....visiting the horse corral!

Yee-haw! Wearing Great Great Grandpa Slack's cowboy hat.
Riding on Great Great Grandpa Graff's saddle.

 Being silly!
Ava asks all of the time if we can get a ticket and go on the airplane to Grandpa and Grandma's house!

 Happy Father's Day Grandpa!
I tried to have them both sit on his lap smiling happily... I didn't work.

Pure Joy.
Making chocolate cake with Grandma Graff.
