Trick or Treat!!

What was Ava's favorite thing about Halloween? That's just a silly question.Note the sucker slobber on her neck, shirt and hand!

Ava had a blast at Halloween. We had our church party Saturday night. When Ava got her first piece of candy, she was so excited just to get 1 piece of candy, she wanted to sit down and eat it then. Who needs more?Little Ladybug!

Ava was quick to learn that she could get more than one piece of candy! Here she is making her rounds.On Halloween night.Sorting the loot! I felt a little bad taking away her candy after she did all of that work! :) She ate her fair share though. She knows what a candy wrapper sounds like, and if Justin or I try to sneak a piece, she'll come over, check our pockets, hands and behind our backs!Saying "Trick or Treat!" She can also say "candy" and "skittles." :)

Bye Bye Diapers!! Hooray!

Yes, that's right! Ava is potty trained! Hooray! She really surprised us with how well she did. With the new baby coming, I wasn't too excited about having 2 kids in diapers. Ava seemed ready, so we gave it a shot. After 3 days I put her in big girl undies, and she shocked us by only having 1 accident or so a day. (Pretty good given the fact that she was going to the bathroom about 8 times a day at that point.) It's a month later, and she's gone the past two weeks without a single accident! I'm so happy! She's such a big girl.

A few funny potty things.

The other day, when she was doing her business, she stood up and clapped for herself every time she tooted etc. My mom told me that when she's 7 and saying "I'm bored," to remind her how much fun going to the bathroom used to be. :)

After I went to the bathroom once, Ava inspected, then cheered and clapped for me. Haha. I've never had an applause like that before. :)

This is the first belly picture I've taken. I was very hesitant to take this because I didn't want to be able to compare pictures from my last pregnancy. I feel A LOT bigger than I did with Ava. But after looking at this picture, I reminded myself of how big I will get. Comparing this belly to my previous 9 mo belly, I feel tiny. haha. :)

Friends and Fish!

While back west, Ava and I were able to see a couple of our best friends. We met them in DC, but they moved out west while we were in Denver. It was so good to see them!

Ava and Carter are about 3 months apart. We took the kids down to Lake Mead Marina. Aren't they cute together? :)

We attempted to feed the fish, but Ava and Carter enjoyed eating the popcorn more than giving it to the fish.

A couple of random pictures I had to add on. Aunt Heather has taught Ava to love heels. We all think she walks better in them than I do!Silly little girl. :)

We visited my family one last time while we were out west.
