Snapshots of Kenzie

Mackenzie is growing so quickly!
She is 6 months old in these pictures.

Her shirt says, "I'm the little sister."

Look at those beautiful eyes.
I took this picture after we walked Ava to school one morning.

This was one of the first times Kenzie sat up on her own.

My mom hid presents under this bed. While rolling around on the floor, Mackenzie discovered the bag they were hidden in.

All dressed up for church.

Tyler loves his little sister. They are becoming good friends while Ava is away at school.

Before Mackenzie started crawling, she would roll everywhere, including UP the walls! I called her spidergirl. She's not doing it so much in this picture, but she would often roll to a wall and then try to keep rolling, causing most of her body to be up on the wall.

We went once as a family.
Ava went with her class on a field trip.
Tyler and I went once with friends.
Our friends: Cate with her son Kase
Chana with her daughters Edie and Grace.

Fishing with Dad

One of their favorite things to do: fishing with Dad. They aren't afraid to touch the slimy worms and fish.

First Quarter of Kindergarten

Here is some of Ava's artwork from kindergarten.
I love that many of her pictures are either of the two of us, or have "Ava Mom" written on them with hearts.

This was the morning of her first field trip. They went to Cox Farms and had a blast!
I love her hair done this way.
Her school had a fundraiser where the kids ran a "Fun Run." Tyler couldn't stand watching the kindergartners having all the fun. He jumped in to join the excitement. Ava ran all 35 laps!

Ava eating lunch with her best friend Maya.

Grandma came to visit and had lunch with Ava.

Ava's first field trip. At Cox Farms.

T Y L E R

Tyler LOVES to read.
We have about 20 library books at a time, and he loves to sit in this chair and read them... sometimes for hours! He has surprised us by learning how to read at such a young age! He can read over 100 words which is equivalent to about 15 Dr. Seuss books. :)

He loves his little sister and now gets to spend lots of one on one time with her while Ava is at school. He loves to make her laugh.

He saw that she was sticking her tongue out so he wanted to do that to.

This was the first time Tyler wrote his name by himself.

Besides reading, watching TV and riding his bike, his other hobby is to make cookies and brownies. ")

This is how he carries things when it too much for just his two hands. I believe there are 8 large cars in there.
