Pool Photo Shoot

As I said before, I'm about a month behind on my blog!

 Here are the last of the pool pictures. 

 On the way back to our apartment, Ava posed for me. I didn't realize until later that the wood planks and brick wall made for a nice impromptu photo shoot.

 These were all snapped with the camera on my phone.

I didn't push him because he would fall over, but he liked sitting in it.

 Tyler has been eating solids for a little over a month now. Ava was so excited when he started. She's been wanting to feed him applesauce since that first day in the hospital!

 One rare, peaceful moment.

Tyler is is getting so big! I need to get my blog up to date! He is scooting everywhere, almost crawling. When he see something he wants, he gets himself there!

Ava Story:

(These types of things happen almost every day. I'll try to share more of them.)

I was impatiently waiting for Ava to get out of the car. She was taking her sweet time. I was holding Tyler in his car seat and said, "Ava. Hurry up! Tyler is heavy. Let's go!" She turned to me and noting my frustration said, "Mommy. Take a break. Go like this..." She put her hand on her chest, took a deep breath in and slowly exhaled. 

I couldn't help but laugh!

After learning a lesson from my two year old, I'm taking a lot of deep breaths these days. :)

50

50 Miles that is...

Six months after Ava was born, I set a goal to run 100 miles by the end of 2010 (which gave me 4 months). I want to do something similar and of course better, but running another 100 miles or more doesn't sound too exciting. So, I have decided to run 50 miles in one month. That will double my per day running that I had to accomplish when I ran my 100 miles. So.... here we go! I ran 13 miles last week. Hold me accountable! My count is on the right sidebar.

One Last Hurrah!

First off, I know this background is intense. But I think it captures the joy on my kids' faces in the banner picture. Second, it's September. Fall is on its way. This is one last "Hurrah!" for summer!

 There is no better place to be in the summer than on the LAKE with FAMILY!
