Tummy Time ... ?

I’m not sure Ava knows exactly what she is supposed to do during tummy time. The other day I put her on her stomach, and she kept her face smashed on the ground while she arched her back and stuck her legs high in the air. I was shocked with her flexibility and couldn’t help but giggle as she fought so hard to lift her legs and flip her body over. That stinkin’ heavy head! :) She wasn’t too happy about it. She didn’t ever lift up her head, but boy, she sure did get those feet high! :)

Note: I have to add that Ava has done tummy time correctly before… I’m not sure what got into her this time.

Grandma came to visit

Justin's mom visited us last week. While she was here, she made Ava a bunch of headbands and clips! It was a lot of fun. Thank you Grandma Hawes!

Wish we were there!

Today my entire extended family left for the annual family lake trip. I absolutely love this trip! We camp on the beach for three days, waterski and wakeboard until we can barely walk, and get so much sun, we all look like tomatoes when we go home.

When I told Ava about the trip today, she went and put on her sun hat.

When I told her we couldn’t go because we lived too far away, this happened.


I feel the same way.

Cutie Pie

Ava is smiling a lot now. These are the first pictures I've been able to get of her smiling.
