Ava 1 Year Old
Ava 2 Years Old
Wow! What a difference!? I can't believe how much she has grown in one year! For starters, I'm so glad she finally has a decent amount of hair. :) With those curls, the length is deceiving. Her hair reaches the middle of her back when wet.
Besides her hair, Ava has done a lot of growing. Especially since Tyler has been born. When people ask me how old she is, I catch myself wanting to say "Three." I sure feel like she is a big three year old!
A few days ago, she wanted her juice, which was in the fridge. I was nursing Tyler and told her I would get it when I was finished. She walked into the kitchen and came back with her juice and said, "I get it. I big girl!" That afternoon she wanted something that was on top of the brick wall surrounding our patio. It was well above her reach, or so I thought. Once again, I was nursing. She came back with the item and said, "I big girl! I get it!" Today... I found her standing on top of the kitchen counter!
In addition to her surprising "height," she insists on picking out her own clothes and dressing herself. Today her pants were inside out and backwards, but she usually gets it right. :) She also often tries to pick up Tyler and carry him across the room while saying her favorite phrase, "I big girl!"
Not only is she growing physically, but she learning the mental game too. Justin said, "Ava, it's time to take your nap." She looked at him and said, "Go on walk? Okay!" and proceeded to the front door. Once he got her to her room, she thoroughly explained how she was awake and didn't need to go to bed. "I awake!" she said over and over.
We sure love our Big Girl!
