We are a week late, but I'm glad we did it! We carved our pumpkin today. Ava really enjoyed it.
She wasn't afraid of that gooey stuff at all. She did a great job cleaning out the pumpkin!

Ava discovered that she could climb out of her crib this weekend! Unfortunately for us. I was planning on keeping her in there until she was 2 1/2! We put her down for a nap Saturday, and then a few minutes later she walked out into the living room! This morning, I was woken up by little hands on my face. :) So, I'm not sure how bed time is going to work for the next few days. We can't lock her in her room because she can also climb on top of her dresser. Hm... long gone are the days of "our little baby girl." She is quite a big girl now.

Wow, Ava sounds busy! The other day I was at the store and I saw these nets you could put over a crib to keep your child "safe" (aka trapped). It made me laugh, but maybe that could come in handy for you . . . ;)
I love that she's not getting grossed out by the pumpkin guts!
