My mom was able to come out for Ava's birthday. We had so much fun with her while she was here! We took Ava to the park.
We had fun pushing her around in this little car. She looks like she is concentrating on her driving in this picture. :)
On her birthday we went to the zoo.

She did a great job opening her presents, and didn't eat any paper! It was funny when the tape stuck to her fingers, she would frantically shake her hand until it was off. This video cracks me up. She looks really confused as to why we are all singing.
When it was time for the cake, Ava really surprised me. I thought she would dig in and love all the sugar. Well, we sang "Happy Birthday" to her again, which I think put her on edge. :) Then when she stuck her fingers in the frosting, and the frosting wouldn't come off, she started crying. It took us a while to calm her down and actually get her to taste the cake! We were reminded of the song line, "It's my party, I can cry if I want to!"

Exciting news: Ava's hair is finally long enough for a pony tail. :)

Sorry, but I just had to post about this. My mom and I did a lot of couponing while she was here. I bought a whole cart full of groceries ($111 worth) and paid $15!! The cheerios below were free and the cinnamon toast crunch was .39/box! This makes me happy.

Happy Birthday, Big Girl!

I can't believe she is 1! Wow! She is such a cutie. Also awesome job on the couponing! I have lost all motivation to coupon since moving back to UT that land of couponing mommies if I don't go at 12:00 am when the stores open I miss the deal :) ha ha.
Awww, Happy Birthday Ava!! She is so cute and looks so happy :) Give her a belated birthday hug from me!
