Baby Cake & Pumpkin Carving

On Friday, Justin and I drove up to Baltimore to visit some friends. Amy was my college roommate and I haven't seen her in about 4 years! It was great to see her again.
We spent the evening eating homemade pizza and carving pumpkins!
Amy has a family tradition that I call "The Baby Cake." Amy made this cake; half of it is pink and half of it is blue.

Justin spun the cake and I cut a piece.

BLUE!! :) The cake has been pretty accurate in Amy's family, so we'll see if it turns out true for me.

If you look closely, the piece I cut was completely blue, but it was right next to the pink portion. Hm... what does that mean? :)
My ultrasound is October 30th!! We can't wait to know for sure what we will be having!

How fun that you got to see Amy!
I love that tradition too, it's so creative and surprisingly accurate! I am curious about that being SO close to the pink though... I'll be anxiously awaiting what you find out on the 30th!

We are sooo glad you guys came up to see us. We had a really fun time hanging out with you guys. Guess what? James finished his pumpkin :) I haven't posted pictures of that yet, but don't worry, soon to come. I am very excited to hear about baby boy. :) jk.

How fun you got to see Amy. Tell her Hi for me... late :) Also that is a fun tradition I think Maren did it too. Andi finds out what she is having tomorrow. I will anxiously await the post!!!

What a fun tradition! I'm quite torn as to which I think you're having. Err, but I'll say boy (rather biased though) ;) Can't wait to find out--so you'd better tell Baby to cooperate and pose nicely.

What a cute idea, I love how much color can add to a cake mix! I can't wait to find out...

I miss you both! Sometimes I wish I was still in Maryland and we could hang out! I can't wait to hear if its a boy (if the cakes right) or a girl. Cool pumpkins too!
